arrow_up_1     Chapter 1

Lord God my Father, and my Lord Jesus, thank You for Your truth, that You offer us grace.

Lord God my Father, and my Lord Jesus, thank You for Your truth, that You offer us peace.

Lord God my Father, and my Lord Jesus, thank You for extending Your grace and peace to me.

Lord God my Father, and my Lord Jesus, thank You for extending grace and peace to Your church.

Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1-Thessalonians 1: 1

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that there are believers who give thanks to You for others.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that there are believers who make mention of others in their prayers.

Lord God, thank You for those who give You thanks for my sake.

Lord God, thank You for those who mention others in their prayers.

Lord God, thank You for those who mention me in their prayers.

Lord God, cause me to thank You for others.

Lord God, cause me to mention others in my prayers.

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

1-Thessalonians 1: 2

Lord God, cause me to be one of Your elected.

Lord God, thank You for making me one of Your elected.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth that You are able to see our work of faith.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth that You are able to see our labor in love.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are able to see our patient hope in our Lord Jesus.

Lord God, cause me to have works produced by faith

Lord God, cause me to have labor prompted by love.

Lord God, cause me to have endurance inspired by hope, in my Lord Jesus Christ.

Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;  Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

1-Thessalonians 1: 3-4

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Your gospel did not come to us in word only, but in power..

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Your gospel did not come to us in word only, but in the Holy Ghost.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Your gospel did not come to us in word only, but in much assurance.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the acts of Your disciples give us much assurance as to Your gospel.

Lord God, thank You for the faithful witness of Your people who take Your gospel into the world in power, in the Holy Ghost, and with much assurance.

For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

1-Thessalonians 1: 5

Lord God, thank You for Your gospel, which even through persecution, I have received with joy from the Holy Spirit. Cause me to become like minded with, and an imitator of other true believers righteous acts.

And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

1-Thessalonians 1: 6

So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

1-Thessalonians 1: 7

For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.

1-Thessalonians 1: 8

For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;  And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

1-Thessalonians 1: 9-10

arrow_up_1     Chapter 2

For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:  But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.

1-Thessalonians 2: 1-2

For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:  But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

1-Thessalonians 2: 3-4

For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness:  Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.

1-Thessalonians 2: 5-6

But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:  So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.

1-Thessalonians 2: 7-8

For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.

1-Thessalonians 2: 9

Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:

1-Thessalonians 2: 10

Lord, thank You for sending fatherly figures into my life, encouraging, comforting, and charging me to live a life worthy of You, for You have called me into Your kingdom and glory.

As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children, That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

1-Thessalonians 2: 11-12

Lord, thank You for allowing me to receive Your word, as Your truth, which can work in my life and in the lives of all believers.

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

1-Thessalonians 2: 13

For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:  Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:

1-Thessalonians 2: 14-15

Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

1-Thessalonians 2: 16

But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.

1-Thessalonians 2: 17

Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.

1-Thessalonians 2: 18

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?  For ye are our glory and joy.

1-Thessalonians 2: 19-20

arrow_up_1     Chapter 3

Lord, thank You for sending Your ministers, to establish me, and comfort me concerning my faith.

Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone;  And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:

1-Thessalonians 3: 1-2

Lord, cause me not to be unsettled by persecutions and trials, that I am destined to have to go through.

That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.

1-Thessalonians 3: 3

For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

1-Thessalonians 3: 4

For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.

1-Thessalonians 3: 5

But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you: Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:

1-Thessalonians 3: 6-7

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that we live, if we stand fast in You.

Lord God, cause me to stand fast in You, and live.

For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.

1-Thessalonians 3: 8

For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;

1-Thessalonians 3: 9

Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

1-Thessalonians 3: 10

Lord God, thank You for Your truth that You are our Father.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Yourself, and the Lord Jesus Christ are able to direct our way to people, who need help perfecting what is lacking in their faith.

Lord God, direct my way to those I might help perfect what is lacking in their faith.

Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.

1-Thessalonians 3: 11

Lord God, thank You for Your truth that our Lord Jesus is able to make us increase and abound in love one toward another.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth that our Lord Jesus is able to make us increase and abound in love toward all men.

And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

1-Thessalonians 3: 12

Lord God, thank You for Your truth that our Lord Jesus is able to establish our hearts in blameless holiness before You, our Father, at His coming with all his saints.

Lord God, cause Jesus to be my Lord.

Lord God, cause Jesus to establish my heart in blameless holiness, before You my Father, when He comes with all His saints.

To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

1-Thessalonians 3: 13

arrow_up_1     Chapter 4

Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

1-Thessalonians 4: 1-2

Lord, cause me to be set aside for holiness, by avoiding sexual immorality, and by properly possessing my body in sanctification and honor.

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

1-Thessalonians 4: 3-4

Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:

1-Thessalonians 4: 5

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to not defraud our brother on any matter.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are the avenger of all those who have been defrauded by their brotherHM.

That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.

1-Thessalonians 4: 6

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You have not called us into uncleanness.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You have called us into holiness.

Lord God, keep me from uncleanness.

Lord God, cause me to be holy.

For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

1-Thessalonians 4: 7

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who despise, do not despise man, but despise You.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You have given us unto Your holy Spirit.

Lord God, keep me from being one who despises.

Lord God, give me Your holy Spirit.

He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.

1-Thessalonians 4: 8

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You teach us to love one another.

Lord God, thank You for teaching me to love others.

Lord God, cause me to receive your instruction.

Lord God, cause me to love others.

But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

1-Thessalonians 4: 9

And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more;

1-Thessalonians 4: 10

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction to study to be quiet.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction to attend to my own business.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction to work with my own hands.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that if we study to be quiet, attend to our own business, and work with our hands, we are able to walk honestly towards them that are without.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that if we study to be quiet, attend to our own business, and work with our hands, we are able to not lack anything.

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;  That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

1-Thessalonians 4: 11-12

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

1-Thessalonians 4: 13-15

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the Lord himself, shall descend from heaven with a shout.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the Lord himself, shall descend from heaven with the voice of the archangel.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the Lord himself, shall descend from heaven with the voice of the archangel.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the Lord himself, shall descend from heaven with Your trump.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that when the Lord himself descends from heaven, the dead in Christ shall rise first.

Lord God, cause me to watch for the Lord, to descend from heaven.

Lord God, cause me to be in Christ, and to rise first when the Lord descends from heaven.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

1-Thessalonians 4: 16

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that we who are alive and remain, will be caught up together with the dead who are in Christ, to meet the Lord in the air.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, when we rise, or are caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord, we will forever be with the Lord.

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1-Thessalonians 4: 17

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to comfort others with Your words.

Lord God, cause me to comfort others with Your words.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1-Thessalonians 4: 18

arrow_up_1     Chapter 5

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that we do not have need to know of the times, and seasons, of the day of the Lord.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night.

Lord God, cause me to be forever ready for the day of the Lord, and to not consider that I am in peace and safety just because that day has not yet come yet.

Lord God, cause me to be forever ready for the day of the Lord, and to not consider that I am in peace and safety just because I thought that day was a long way off.

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

1-Thessalonians 5: 1-3

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that we have not been left in darkness, not knowing the truth, that the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night.

Lord God, thank You for not leaving me in darkness, but exposing Your truth to me that I should not be complacent, but to consider at every moment that Your day may be upon me.

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

1-Thessalonians 5: 4

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that we have not been left in darkness.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that we have been exposed to Your truth about the coming day of the Lord.

Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

1-Thessalonians 5: 5

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, not to ignore You  warning that the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to be mindful that the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night, and to be sober and watch for that day.

Lord God, cause me to soberly watch, and expect the day of the Lord to come quickly.

Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

1-Thessalonians 5: 6

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that who are not soberly watching for the day of the Lord, are in darkness.

Lord God, cause me to sober, and to watch for the day of the Lord.

For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

1-Thessalonians 5: 7

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to those who are mindful that the day of the Lord is coming quickly, to be sober.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to those who are mindful that the day of the Lord is coming quickly, to put on the breastplate of faith and love.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to those who are mindful that the day of the Lord is coming quickly, to put on a helmet, which is the hope of salvation.

Lord God, keep me mindful that the day of the Lord is coming quickly.

Lord God, cause me to be sober.

Lord God, cause me to put on the breastplate of faith and love.

Lord God, cause me to put on a helmet, which is the hope of salvation.

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

1-Thessalonians 5: 8

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You have not appointed us to wrath.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You have appointed us to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.

Lord God, cause Jesus Christ to be my Lord.

Lord God, cause me to obtain salvation by Jesus Christ.

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

1-Thessalonians 5: 9

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Jesus Christ died for us.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that whether we are awake, or asleep, Jesus died for us so that we are able to live together with him.

Lord God, thank You for Your Jesus Christ, who died for me.

Lord God, cause me to live together with my Lord, Jesus Christ.

Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

1-Thessalonians 5: 10

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to comfort each other.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to edify our brethren.

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

1-Thessalonians 5: 11

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to know those who are among us, who are laboring in Your service, who are over us, and who are reproving us.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to esteem highly in love for their works sake, those who labor in Your service, who are over us, and who reprove us.

Lord God, reveal to me the labor of fellow believers, and of those who are over me in Your service, who may at times offer me correction. Cause me to esteem them in Love for their service towards You, and to be at peace with them and all the brethren.

And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

1-Thessalonians 5: 12-13

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

1-Thessalonians 5: 14-15

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to rejoice forever more.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to pray without ceasing.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to give thanks in everything.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Your will in Jesus Christ concerning You, is that we will always rejoice, pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks.

Lord God, cause me to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks.

Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1-Thessalonians 5: 16-18

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to not quench Your Spirit.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to not despise prophesyings.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to prove all things.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction to hold fast to that which is good.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction to abstain from all appearance of evil.

Lord God, keep me from quenching Your Spirit.

Lord God, keep me from despising prophesy.

Lord God, cause me to prove all things.

Lord God, cause me to hold fast that which is good.

Lord God, cause me to abstain from all appearance of evil.

Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.

1-Thessalonians 5: 19-22

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are the God of peace.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are able to sanctify us wholly.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are able to preserve our whole spirit, soul, and body, to be blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are faithful.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are the one who calls us.

Lord God, place Your call upon me.

Lord God, set me apart to be wholly dedicated to You.

Lord God, preserve my whole spirit, soul, and body, to be blameless unto the coming of my Lord Jesus Christ.

Lord God, thank You for Your faithfulness, that to those You call, You also preserve unto the coming of the Lord Jesus.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

1-Thessalonians 5: 23-24

Brethren, pray for us. Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss. I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

1-Thessalonians 5: 25-28
