arrow_up_1   Chapter 1

Lord God, thank You for sending Your word, not only to the elect lady and her children, but also to all of us who have known the truth.

The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;

2-John 1: 1

Lord God, Thank You for allowing Your truth to dwell in me, and for allowing it to stay forever.

For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

2-John 1: 2

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are able to give us grace, mercy, and peace, in truth and love.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Your Son, Jesus Christ is able to grant us grace, mercy, and peace, in truth and love..

Lord God, in truth and love, cause grace, mercy, and peace to be with me, from Yourself, and Your Son.

Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

2-John 1: 3

Lord God, may the brethren be able to rejoice greatly when they find me walking in truth, as I have received commandment from the Father.

I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

2-John 1: 4

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to love one another.

Lord God, guide and instruct me to love others, as you would have me love them.

And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

2-John 1: 5

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to walk in Your commandments.

Lord God, cause me to show my love for You, by walking in Your commandments.

And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

2-John 1: 6

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that deceivers which are antichrists have come into the world, and they do not confess that Jesus Christ, the Messiah, has come in the flesh.

Lord God, help the world overcome the deception, caused by deceivers, and antichrists, who do not confess that Jesus Christ, the Messiah, has come in the flesh.

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

2-John 1: 7

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to look to ourselves, so we will not lose things we have worked for, and we will receive a full reward.

Lord God, cause me to be mindful, and guard my ways, so I do not lose things I have worked for, and so I may receive a full reward.

Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

2-John 1: 8

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who transgress and do not abide in the doctrine of Christ, do not have You.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who abide in the doctrine of  Christ, have both You and Your Son.

Lord God, cause me to abide in the doctrine of Christ, and have both You and Your Son.

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

2-John 1: 9

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to not receive into our house, or greet those, who do not bring the doctrine of Christ, as those who greet them share in their evil deeds.

Lord God, give me understanding of Your truth, so I may stay away from those with false doctrines, and not share in their evil deeds.

If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

Lord God, when I meet together with other believers, to share Your truths, allow our joy to made full.

The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.
