Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that by Your will, Paul was an apostle of Jesus Christ.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the promise of life is in Christ Jesus.

 

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,

 

2-Timothy 1: 1

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Paul, who was an apostle of Jesus Christ by Your will, wrote this letter of instruction to Timothy.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that through this letter, You sent a greeting of grace, mercy, and peace to Timothy.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that through this letter, Jesus Christ sent a greeting of grace, mercy, and peace to Timothy.

 

To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

 

2-Timothy 1: 2

 

I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

 

2-Timothy 1: 3

 

Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;

 

2-Timothy 1: 4

 

When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Paul was not ashamed, because he believed You.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Paul was persuaded that You were able to guard what he had entrusted to You, until the time that his work was done.

 

Lord God, cause me to trust in You, that You will provide me with the opportunity, and the ability to perform the work You have in mind for me to accomplish.

 

Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Lord God, cause me to depart from iniquity.

 

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

 

2-Timothy 2: 19

 

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.  If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction to flee youthful lusts.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction to follow righteousness, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction to follow charity, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction to follow peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

 

Lord God, cause me to call on You out of a pure heart.

 

Lord God, cause me to flee my youthful desires.

 

Lord God, cause me to pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, especially with those who call on You out of a pure heart.

 

Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

 

2-Timothy 2: 22

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to avoid foolish and ignorant questions.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that foolish and ignorant questions produce quarrels.

 

Lord God, keep me from foolish and stupid arguments that produce quarrels.

 

But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

 

2-Timothy 2: 23

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, that Your servants should not quarrel.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, that Your servants should be gentle to all men.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, that Your servants should be able to teach.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, that Your servants should be patient when wronged.

 

Lord God, cause me to be kind to everyone.

 

Lord God, cause me to be gentle to all men.

 

Lord God, guide me to teach.

 

Lord God, cause me to be patient.

 

And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

 

2-Timothy 2: 24

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to instruct in meekness those who are foolish, in hopes You will grant them repentance, and that they may be able to acknowledge the truth.

 

Lord God, help me teach patiently, and in meekness, those who are being foolish.

 

Lord God, grant repentance to those I instruct in patiently, and in meekness, and cause them to acknowledge the truth.

 

In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

 

2-Timothy 2: 25

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that people who are not Yours, are able to be taken captive by the devil at his will.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who are granted repentance, and who acknowledge the truth, may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil.

 

Lord God, cause those who I  teach patiently, and in meekness, to recover themselves out of the snare of the devil.

 

And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that all scripture is profitable for instruction in righteousness.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that scripture is given to perfect Your people.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that by scripture, Your people are able to be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

 

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Lord God, thank Your truth, that those who preach Your word, are to be prepared to preach Your word in season, and out of season.

 

Lord God, thank Your truth, that those who preach Your word, are to correct, rebuke, and encourage.

 

Lord God, thank Your truth, that those who preach Your word, are to do it with great patience and careful instruction.

 

Lord God, if You call me to preach, prepare me and fill me with the patience and understanding, that would allow me to teach in truth.

 

Lord God, if You call me to preach, cause me to correctly correct, rebuke, and encourage.

 

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
