arrow_up_1    Chapter 1

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Paul was an apostle.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Paul was appointed as an apostle by Jesus Christ and by Yourself.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You raised Your Son, Jesus Christ, from the dead.

Lord God, thank You for this letter from Paul, and all the brethren that were with him, to the churches of Galatia.

Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)  And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:

Galatians 1: 1-2

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that grace is able to be received from You, and from our Lord Jesus Christ.

Lord God, cause grace to be given to me by Yourself, and by Your Son.

Lord God, thank You for the grace and peace that comes from You and Your Son.

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,

Galatians 1: 3

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Jesus Christ gave himself for our sins.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Jesus Christ gave himself for our sins, so that he might deliver us from this present evil world.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Jesus Christ giving himself for our sins, so he might deliver us from this present evil world, was according to Your will.

Lord God, cause Jesus Christ's giving of himself for my sins, to deliver me from the present evil world.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are able to be our Father.

Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

Galatians 1: 4

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that glory is Yours for ever and ever.

Lord God, cause me to give You glory for ever and ever.

To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Galatians 1: 5

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that we should be watchful after being called into the grace of Christ, that we are not removed unto another gospel.

Lord God, as You called me into the grace of Christ, keep me from being removed from Your gospel, into another gospel.

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

Galatians 1: 6

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that there are not two gospels.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that some are troubled by others perverting the gospel of Christ.

Lord God, keep those who would pervert Your gospel, from causing trouble for me.

Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

Galatians 1: 7 (KJV)

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that if a person, or an angel from heaven, should preach a gospel which is different than the gospel preached by Your servants in Christ, they should be accursed.

Lord God, cause my understanding of Your gospel to be true.

Lord God, if You should call me to preach, cause my preaching to be true to Your gospel, as You would have it preached. Guide my words so they hold fast to Your truths.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Galatians 1: 8-9 (KJV)

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Your gospel is meant to change men's hearts.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Your gospel should not be changed to please men.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that if Your gospel was changed to please men, those who changed it would not be Your servants.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that in serving Your Son, the Christ, the people of this world will not always be pleased.

Lord God, cause my understanding and sharing of Your gospel be done for Your pleasure, and keep me from altering it in a way that is meant to please men.

For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Galatians 1: 10

Lord God, thank You for Your truth that the gospel preached by Paul, was not something made up by man.

Lord God, thank You for Your gospel, given to us by You.

But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

Galatians 1: 11

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the gospel preached by Paul was not given to him by man, or taught to him by man, but he received the gospel, and was taught it, by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Galatians 1: 12

For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:  And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

Galatians 1: 13-14

But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Galatians 1: 15-16

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that what Paul wrote in his letter to Galatia, were not lies.

Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.

Galatians 1: 20

Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;  And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:  But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed. And they glorified God in me.

Galatians 1: 21-24

arrow_up_1     Chapter 2

Lord God, thank You for having Paul, by Revelation, go to Jerusalem with Barnabus, and Titus, to communicate to the Jewish people, the gospel that he preached among the Gentiles.

Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.  And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

Galatians 2: 1-2

Lord God, thank You for keeping Paul and Titus from submitting, yielding, or being brought into bondage by the false brethren who came to spy out their liberty which they had in Christ Jesus, so the truth of the gospel would be preserved for me.

But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised: And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:  To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

Galatians 2: 3-5

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that people of high reputation, did not contribute anything to Paul's message

But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me:

Galatians 2: 6

Lord God, thank You for committing the gospel sent to the gentiles to Paul.

Lord God, thank You for causing unity between Paul, and those You committed to take the gospel to the Jewish people.

But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;  (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)  And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision

Galatians 2: 7-9

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who were committed to take the gospel to the Jewish people, asked Paul to remember the poor.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Paul was already very eager to remember the poor, even before he was asked to.

Lord God, place it in my heart, and cause me to be eager to remember the poor.

Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.

Galatians 2: 10

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the gospel is not satisfied by living after the manner of the Jews, but according to the truth of the gospel.

Lord God, cause me to live according to the truth of Your gospel.

But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.  For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.  And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

Galatians 2: 11-14

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith of Jesus Christ.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that even those who are Jews by nature, and not Gentiles, must believe in Jesus Christ, that they might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.

Lord God, cause me to believe in Jesus Christ, and place my confidence in my faith of Christ for my justification.

We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Galatians 2: 15-16

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Jesus Christ is not a minister of sin.

Lord God, while I seek to be justified by Christ, keep me from sin.

But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

Galatians 2: 17

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that if I again embrace the system of being justified through the law, I would make myself a transgressor.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who again embrace the system of being justified through the law, make themselves a transgressor.

Lord God, cause me to build my faith on Your gospel, faith of Christ, and not on the works of the law.

For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

Galatians 2: 18

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that because of the law I am dead, but being alive through Christ, I am able to live unto You.

For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

Galatians 2: 19

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that we can be crucified with Christ, yet live.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that if we are crucified with Christ and live, it is not us who live, but Christ who lives in us.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that if it is not us who live, but Christ who lives in us, then the life we live in the flesh, must be lived by the faith of Your Son, who loved us, and gave himself for us.

Lord God, cause me to be crucified in Christ, and have Christ live in me.

Lord God, cause me to live by the faith of Your Son.

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2: 20

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that if righteousness came by the law, then Christ would have died in vain.

Lord God, give me understanding that righteousness does not come by the law.

I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Galatians 2: 21

arrow_up_1   Chapter 3

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that it is possible to not obey the truth, and to believe that righteousness comes by the law.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the truth of Jesus Christ crucified, was placed as evidence before men.

Lord God, cause me to obey the truth, and not ignore that Jesus Christ, who was crucified, made my salvation possible.

O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

Galatians 3: 1

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Your Spirit is received by the hearing of faith, and not by the works of the law.

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, that we should examine ourselves, to determine if we have received Your Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith.

Lord God, cause me to understand that Your Spirit is received by the hearing of faith, and not by the works of the law.

This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Galatians 3: 2

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that we are not made perfect by the workings of the flesh.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that having begun in the Spirit, I am not made perfect by the flesh.

Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Galatians 3: 3

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that if we are perfected by works of the law, then sufferings we may experience for believing in Christ would be in vain.

Lord God, give me understanding, that if I am perfected by works of the law, then sufferings I may experience for believing in Christ would be in vain.

Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.

Galatians 3: 4

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who minister in the Spirit, do it by the hearing of faith, and not by the works of the law.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who work Your miracles, do it by the hearing of faith, and not by the works of the law.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that if I am ministering in the Spirit, I am doing it by the hearing of faith, and not by the works of the law.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that if I am working Your miracles, I am doing it by the hearing of faith, and not by the works of the law.

Lord God, by the hearing of faith, cause me to minister in the Spirit.

Lord God, by the hearing of faith, cause me to work Your miracles.

He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Galatians 3: 5

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Abraham believed You, and You accounted it to him for righteousness.

Lord God, cause me to believe You as Abraham did, and account it to me for righteousness.

Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

Galatians 3: 6

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that they which are of faith, are the children of Abraham.

Lord God, cause me to be of faith.

Lord God, cause me to be a child of Abraham.

Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

Galatians 3: 7

Lord God, thank You for preaching the gospel to Abraham, by saying to him, In You shall all nations be blessed.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that scripture stating all nations would be blessed by Abraham and his offspring, foresaw that You would justify the heathen through faith.

Lord God, cause me to be justified by faith.

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

Galatians 3: 8

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Abraham was faithful.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that they which are of faith, are blessed with Abraham.

Lord God, cause me to be of faith.

Lord God, cause me to be blessed with Abraham.

So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

Galatians 3: 9

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.”

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that all who rely on works of the law are under a curse.

Lord God, keep me from relying on the works of the law.

Lord God, keep me from being cursed.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Galatians 3: 10

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that in Your sight, no man is justified by the law.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that it is evident, that the just shall live by faith.

Lord God, keep me from believing I can be justified by the law.

Lord God, cause me to live by faith.

Lord God, cause me to be justified, by living by faith.

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Galatians 3: 11

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the law is not of faith.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who do the law, shall live in them.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that for every failure in keeping the law, the law denounces a curse.

Also Reference Deuteronomy 27: 26 - "Cursed is anyone who does not uphold the words of this law by carrying them out." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!" (NIV)

And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

Galatians 3: 12

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that it was written, that cursed is every one that hangs on a tree.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Christ was made a curse for us by hanging on a tree.

Lord God, cause Christ to redeem me from the curse of the law.

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Galatians 3: 13

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the blessing of Abraham came on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, so we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Lord God, thank You for allowing the blessing of Abraham to come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that I might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Lord God, cause the blessing of Abraham to come on me through Jesus Christ.

Lord God, cause me to receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Galatians 3: 14

Lord God, thank You for the example, that even a man made covenant, once ratified by You, can not be set aside, or added to.

Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.

Galatians 3: 15

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Your promise was to Abraham and his seed, which is Christ.

Lord God, through Christ, cause Your promises to be imparted to me.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Galatians 3: 16

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the law, which came four hundred and thirty years after You made the promise to Abraham, does not set aside the covenant You established, or make the promise of no effect.

And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

Galatians 3: 17

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the inheritance you promised Abraham was not based on the law.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that if the inheritance you promised Abraham was based on the law, it would no longer be based on a promise.

Lord God, thank You for promising an inheritance to Abraham, that was not based on the law.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the inheritance You offer is based on Your promise.

Lord God, cause me to receive Your promise of an inheritance, not based on the law.

For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

Galatians 3: 18

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that we are not to serve the law.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the law was added because of transgressions, until Jesus came, to whom the promise was made.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the law was added because of transgressions, until Jesus came, to whom the promise was made.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Your law was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

Lord God, cause me to seek after Your promise, which is not connected to the law.

Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

Galatians 3: 19

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that a mediator, is not a mediator of one.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are one.

Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.

Galatians 3: 20

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the law is not contrary to Your promise.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that if there was a law given which could have given life, then righteousness would have been by the law.

Lord God, cause me to seek after Your promise, which is able to give life.

Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

Galatians 3: 21

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that scripture has concluded all are under sin.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ is given by You, to those who believe.

Lord God, cause me to be convinced of my guilt, and of the laws inability to effect righteousness for me.

Lord God, cause me to be persuaded to believe on Jesus Christ, and to obtain the benefit of Your promise.

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

Galatians 3: 22

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that before faith came, we were held prisoners under the law, locked up until the coming faith should be revealed.

Lord God, cause me to be freed from being held prisoner under the law.

Lord God, cause me to accept Your promise by faith.

But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

Galatians 3: 23

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that by coming to Christ, we are able to be justified by faith.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that after we have been brought to Christ, and justified by faith, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Lord God, cause me to be brought to Christ, and justified by faith.

Lord God, cause me to no longer be under, or have need of a schoolmaster.

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Galatians 3: 24-25

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that we are made children of God, by faith in Christ Jesus.

Lord God, cause me to be Your child, by faith in Your Son, Christ Jesus.

Lord God, thank You for allowing me be Your child, by faith in Your Son, Christ Jesus.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3: 26

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who have been baptized into Christ, have put on Christ.

Lord God, cause me to be baptized in Christ, and to put on Christ.

Lord God, thank you for allowing me to be baptized in Christ, and to put on Christ.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Galatians 3: 27

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that there is no distinction between Your children, Jew or Greek.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that there is no distinction between Your children, slave or free.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that there is no distinction between Your children, male or female.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Your children are all one in Christ Jesus.

Lord God, cause me to be one with Your other children, in Christ Jesus.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3: 28

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that if we are Christ's, then we are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Lord God, cause me to be an heir, according to Your promise.

Lord God, thank You for making me an heir, according to Your promise.

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 3: 29

arrow_up_1     Chapter 4

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that an heir, who is a child, does not differ from a servant.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that an heir, who is a child, is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father.

Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

Galatians 4: 1-2

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that before the fullness of Your promise came, we were like children under guardianship, and were in bondage under the basic principles of the world.

Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

Galatians 4: 3

Lord God, thank you for Your truth, that when the time was right, You sent Your Son, made of a woman, and made under the law, to redeem us under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Lord God, thank you for sending Your Son, so I might be redeemed.

Lord God, cause me to be redeemed, and to be adopted as a son.

Lord God, thank you for sending Your Son to redeem me, and for adopting me as a son.

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,  To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Galatians 4: 4-5

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those You have redeemed, and have adopted as sons, You have also sent the Spirit of Your Son into their hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Lord God, cause me to have the Spirit of Your Son in my heart, crying, Abba, Father.

Lord God, thank You for adopting me as a son, and for sending the Spirit of Your Son into my heart, crying, Abba, Father.

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Galatians 4: 6

Lord God, those who You have redeemed, and have adopted as sons, are no longer servants.

Lord God, those who You have redeemed, and have adopted as sons, are Your heirs through Christ.

Lord God, cause me to be Your son, and Your heir through Christ.

Lord God, thank You for taking me from the bondage of this world's principles, and for adopting me as a son, making me Your heir through Christ.

Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Galatians 4: 7

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who do not know You, do service to them which by nature are not gods.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that even those who You know, are at risk to turn to the elements of this world, and desire to be in bondage again.

Lord God, cause me to not desire being in bondage to the elements of this world.

Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.  But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

Galatians 4: 8-9

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that it is possible to observe superstitions, and traditions, rather than the true gospel.

Lord God, keep me from turning back to the laws of Moses to try and earn my salvation.

Lord God, cause me to turn from my former idolatry.

Lord God, cause me to accept Your salvation, by faith through Your grace.

Lord God, keep those who have shared Your gospel with me, from having labored in vain.

Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

Galatians 4: 10-11

Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as ye are: ye have not injured me at all.

Galatians 4: 12

Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first.

Galatians 4: 13

And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.

Galatians 4: 14

Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.

Galatians 4: 15

Lord God, cause Your servants to bring me Your truths.

Lord God, cause me to not make enemies of those who bring me Your truths.

Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

Galatians 4: 16

Lord God, keep me from being won over by peoples schemes, which are not meant for good, but are meant to make me enthusiastic about themselves.

They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.

Galatians 4: 17

Lord God, cause me to be enthusiastic about good things, and not just when I am around those who are like minded.

But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.

Galatians 4: 18

Lord God, let it be evident that Christ has been formed in me, so those who have brought the gospel to me, can rejoice with me.

My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,   I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you.

Galatians 4: 19-20

Lord God, cause me to understand it is not a good thing to be under the law.

Lord God, keep me from being in bondage to the law.

Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?

Galatians 4: 21

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Abraham had two sons, one by a bondmaid, and the other by a free woman.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Abraham's son whose mother was a bondmaid, was born after the flesh.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Abraham's son whose mother was a freewoman, was born by promise.

Lord God, cause me to be Your son, by Your promise.

For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.  But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.

Galatians 4: 22-23

Lord God, thank You for the allegory representing the two covenants.  The first woman, a bondmaid, represents living in slavery under the law. The second woman represents heavenly Jerusalem, is the free woman, and is our mother.

Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.  For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Galatians 4: 24-26

For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

Galatians 4: 27

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the brethren in Christ, just as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

Lord God, cause me to be a child of Your promise.

Lord God, thank You for making me a child of promise.

Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

Galatians 4: 28

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those born after the flesh, persecute those born after the Spirit.

Lord God, cause me to be born after the Spirit.

Lord God, be with me during persecution.

Lord God, cause me to bring You glory, while being persecuted by those who are born after the flesh.

But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

Galatians 4: 29

Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.

Galatians 4: 30

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the brethren are not children of the bondwoman, and a slave to the law, but are children of the freewoman.

Lord God, cause me to be a child of the freewoman.

Lord God, thank for allowing me to be among the brethren, and a child of the freewoman.

So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

Galatians 4: 31

arrow_up_1     Chapter 5

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to stand firm in the freedom Christ has given us, and to not submit to the slavery of the law.

Galatians 5: 2

Lord God, thank you for Your truth, that if I try to find favor with You through the law, then I am obligated to keep the entire law.

For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

Galatians 5: 3

Lord God, Thank You for Your truth, that those who justify themselves by the law, are fallen from grace, and Christ has no effect on them.

Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Galatians 5: 4

For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

Galatians 5: 7

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the persuasion that tries to lead me away from Your truth, does not come from You.

This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.

Galatians 5: 8

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that a little yeast, leavens the whole lump of dough.

Lord God, keep me from error, so it does not overrun my life.

Galatians 5: 9

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that through You, I am able to not be turned from Your truth, and those who trouble me with error will bear their judgment.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who trouble me with error will bear their judgment.

Lord God, cause me to be called into liberty.

Lord God, cause me to not use this liberty as an occasion to satisfy the flesh.
