Lord, thank You for Your promise that You would have mercy on the house of Judah.

 

Lord, thank You for Your promise that You would save the house of Judah, by the Lord their God.

 

Lord, thank You for Your truth, that the house of Judah was saved by the Lord their God, and not by bow, by sword, by battle, by horses, or by horsemen.

 

Lord, thank You for showing Yourself to be faithful to Your promises.

 

But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.

 

Hosea 1: 7

 

Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.  Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.

Lord God, thank You for Your the illustration of Hosea taking in his adulteress wife, as a way to demonstrate Your love for the children of Israel, who looked to other gods, and loved the ways of other nations and their gods.

 

Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that because Your people rejected knowledge, You kept them from being priests to You.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that because Your people forgot Your law, You warned them that You would forget their children.

 

Lord God, cause me to receive knowledge.

 

Lord God, cause me to remember Your law.

 

Lord God, make Yourself known to me, and do not let me forget or forsake Your law.

 

Lord God, give me a willing heart to seek after You and Your statutes all the days of my life.

 

Lord God, make me into a living testimony of Your love, and let me pass on the knowledge of You to the next generation.

 

Lord God, create a desire in my children, and the next generation to seek after You with their whole heart.

 

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Ephraim and Samaria committed falsehood.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that thieves were breaking into houses in Ephraim and Samaria.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that bandits robbed in the streets, in Ephraim and Samaria.

 

When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.

 

Hosea 7: 1

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the wicked of Ephraim and Samaria, did not consider in their hearts that You remember all their wickedness.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the wicked ways of Ephraim and Samaria engulfed them, and their sins were before You.

 

And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.

 

Hosea 7: 2

 

Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.  And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me.

Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me.  They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.

Lord God, cause me to not turn away from You to other gods.

 

Lord God, keep me from loving the wages of a prostitute.

 

Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that through Israels own fruit, he increased his alters.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that according to the goodness of Israels land, he through Israels own fruit, he embellished his sacred pillars.

 

Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.

 

Hosea 10: 1

 

Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.

Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.

I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.

Hosea 14: 1

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, to those who who have fallen by their iniquity, to turn to You, and say to You, "Take away my iniquity, and receive me graciously".

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who who have fallen by their iniquity, that turn to You, and say to You, "Take away my iniquity, and receive me graciously", can offer You the fruit of their lips.

 

Lord God, cause me to turn to You, and say to You, "Take away my iniquity, and receive me graciously".

 

Lord God, "Take away my iniquity, and receive me graciously".

 

Lord God, cause me to give You the fruit of my lips.

 

Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.

 

Hosea 14: 2

 

Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.

Lord God, thank You for Your promise, that you are able to heal our backsliding.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your promise, that you are able to love us freely.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your promise, that you are able to turn Your anger away from us.

 

Lord God, "Take away my iniquity, and receive me graciously". Cause me to not trust in horses, or call the works of my hands a god, even if my fathers trusted in the works of their hands.

 

Lord God, heal my backsliding.

 

Lord God, love me freely.

 

Lord God, turn Your anger away from me.

 

I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.

 

Hosea 14: 4

 

Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.

Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.
