Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that a wise son makes his father glad, but a foolish son is heaviness to his mother.

 

Lord God, cause me to be one who would make my father glad, and not be heaviness to my mother.

 

The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

 

Proverbs 10: 1

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.

 

Lord God, instead of storing up wickedness which profits nothing, cause me to have righteousness that delivers from death.

 

Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

 

Proverbs 10: 2

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that You will not allow the righteous to go hungry, but You cast away the substance of the wicked.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and provide me with substance.

 

The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.

 

Proverbs 10: 3

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that a person who deals with a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.

 

Lord God, cause me to have a diligent hand, and a heart that seeks to do Your will.

 

He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

 

Proverbs 10: 4

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that it is wise to gather during summer, but sleeping during harvest causes shame.

 

Lord God, cause me to be someone who gathers during the summer, and does not sleep during the harvest.

 

He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

 

Proverbs 10: 5

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that blessings are on the head of the just, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.

 

Lord God, cause me to be just and experience blessings, and to keep from wickedness and violence.

 

Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

 

Proverbs 10: 6

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the memory of the just is blessed, and the name of the wicked shall rot.

 

Lord God, cause me to be a just person, whose memories of me are blessed.

 

The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.

 

Proverbs 10: 7

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the wise in heart accepts commands, but foolish lips will fall.

 

Lord God, place in me a wise heart that receives commandments, that keeps me from falling.

 

The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that someone who walks in integrity, lives securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out.

 

Lord God, cause me to walk in integrity, with security, and keep me from crooked paths.

 

He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

 

Proverbs 10: 9

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that those whose mind and mouth are not in agreement cause sorrow, and foolish lips will come to ruin.

 

Lord God, cause my mind and mouth to be in agreement, and keep my speech full of wisdom.

 

He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the mouth of the righteous is a well of life, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and make my mouth a fountain of life.

 

The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all sins.

 

Lord God, give me a heart to love, and to not stir up strife.

 

Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that wisdom is found in the lips of the discerning, but a rod is for the back of him who lacks judgment.

 

Lord God, give my mind discernment, and my lips wisdom. Keep me from being void of understanding, and from requiring punishment.

 

In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.

 

Proverbs 10: 13

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that wise men lay up knowledge, but the mouth of the fool is near destruction.

 

Lord God, cause me to store up knowledge, and keep my mouth from inviting ruin.

 

Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.

 

Proverbs 10: 14

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that a rich man's wealth is his strong city, and the destruction of the poor is their poverty.

 

The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.

 

Proverbs 10: 15

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the labor of the righteous tends to life, but the fruit of the wicked to sin.

 

Lord God, cause my labors to bring me life, and keep me far from ruin.

 

The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.

 

Proverbs 10: 16

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that those who follow instruction are on the path to life, but those who refuse correction go astray.

 

Lord God, cause me to follow instruction, and to not refuse correction.

 

He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.

 

Proverbs 10: 17

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who hide hatred with lying lips, and those who utter slander, are fools.

 

Lord God, cause me to be truthful, be wise, and not spread slander.

 

He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

 

Proverbs 10: 18

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that when there are many words spoken, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise.

 

Lord God, cause me to be a person of few words, and one who holds my tongue.

 

In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

 

Proverbs 10: 19

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the tongue of the righteous is choice silver, but the heart of the wicked is of little worth.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, with a tongue of choice silver.

 

The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.

 

Proverbs 10: 20

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of understanding.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, with lips that feed many. Cause fools to seek after wisdom, so they may live.

 

The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.

 

Proverbs 10: 21

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, Your blessing makes rich, and You add no sorrow with it.

 

Lord God, make me a person worthy of Your blessing, which is given without sorrow added to it.

 

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

 

Proverbs 10: 22

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, a fool finds pleasure in evil conduct, but a man of understanding has wisdom.

 

Lord God, cause me to be understanding, and have wisdom.

 

It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

 

Proverbs 10: 23

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that what the wicked dreads will come upon him, but the desire of the righteous will be granted.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and give me a righteousness where you will be pleased to grant my desires.

 

The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

 

Proverbs 10: 24

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the storm passes, the wicked are no more, but the righteous are secure forever.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and secure forever.

 

As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

 

Proverbs 10: 25

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that it is like vinegar to the teeth, and smoke to the eyes, to those who send a lazy man to do something.

 

Lord God, cause me to be hard working, and a joy to those who offer me work.

 

As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.

 

Proverbs 10: 26

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that fearing You prolongs life, but the years of the wicked will be shortened.

 

Lord God, cause me to live long, in fear of You, and keep me from shortening my days through wickedness.

 

The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

 

Proverbs 10: 27

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the hope of the righteous will be gladness, but the expectation of the wicked will perish.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous with the hope of gladness. Do not let my expectation perish.

 

The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

 

Proverbs 10: 28

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Your ways are a refuge for the righteous, but destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and to have refuge in Your ways.

 

The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

 

Proverbs 10: 29

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the righteous will not be uprooted, but the wicked will not inherit the earth.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and to dwell safely in the land.

 

The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.

 

Proverbs 10: 30

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the mouth of the just brings forth wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut out.

 

Lord God, cause me to be just, and my speech to bring forth wisdom.

 

The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.

 

Proverbs 10: 31

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked speak what is perverse.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and to know what is acceptable, and keep my mouth from speaking perverse things.

 

The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, when pride comes, the comes shame, but with the lowly is wisdom.

 

Lord God, cause me cast away pride, to be humble and find wisdom.

 

When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

 

Proverbs 11: 2

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perverseness of transgressors will destroy them.

 

Lord God, cause integrity to be my guide, and transgressions to cease.

 

The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

 

Proverbs 11: 3

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that riches will not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.

 

Lord God, prepare me with righteousness, not riches, for the day of wrath, and cause righteousness to deliver me from death.

 

Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.

 

Proverbs 11: 4

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the righteousness of the blameless keeps his way straight, but the wicked falls by his own wickedness.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, blameless, and keep my ways straight.

 

The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

 

Proverbs 11: 5

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the righteousness of the upright rescues them, but the treacherous are trapped by their own desires.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous and upright, and cause righteousness to deliver me.

 

The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.

 

Proverbs 11: 6

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that when a wicked man dies, his expectations perish, and the hope of unjust men perish.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous and just, so when I die, my expectation and hope will not perish.

 

When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.

 

Proverbs 11: 7

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the righteous are delivered out of trouble, and the wicked come in his stead.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous and delivered out of trouble.

 

The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

 

Proverbs 11: 8

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that a hypocrite destroys his neighbor with his mouth, but through knowledge the just will be delivered.

 

Lord God, cause me to be just, so through knowledge I will be delivered, if an ungodly neighbor tries to destroy me with his mouth.

 

An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

 

Proverbs 11: 9

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that when it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices, and when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.

 

Lord God, cause it to go well with the righteous, so the city will rejoice, and cause there to be shouts of joy, when the wicked perish.

 

When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

 

Proverbs 11: 10

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that by the blessing of the the upright, a city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

 

Lord God, cause our cities to be exalted by the blessing of the upright, and keep it from being overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

 

By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

 

Proverbs 11: 11

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that whoever belittles his neighbor, lacks sense, but a man of understanding holds his peace.

 

Lord God, cause me to not belittle, or show contempt towards my neighbors, but cause me to hold my peace.

 

He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.

 

Proverbs 11: 12

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that a talebearer reveals secrets, but he that is of a faithful spirit, conceals a matter.

 

A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.

 

Proverbs 11: 13

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that where there is no counsel, people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety,

 

Lord God, cause me to disregard counsel, and fall, but cause me to seek a multitude of counselors, and stay safe.

 

Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

 

Proverbs 11: 14

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that whoever is surety for a stranger will suffer for it, but he that hates such agreements is protected.

 

Lord God, cause me to hate surety arrangements for strangers, so I will not suffer from them.

 

He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.

 

Proverbs 11: 15

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that a gracious woman retains honor, and strong men retain riches.

 

Lord God, help me retain honor, and not strive to retain riches.

 

A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.

 

Proverbs 11: 16

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that whoever is merciful benefits himself, but a cruel man brings disaster on himself.

 

Lord God, cause me to benefit myself by being merciful, and not bring disaster on myself, by being cruel.

 

The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.

 

Proverbs 11: 17

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the wages of the wicked are deceitful, but the one who sows righteousness, will receive a sure reward.

 

Lord God, cause me to sow righteousness, and to receive a sure reward.

 

The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.

 

Proverbs 11: 18

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that true righteousness leads to life, but he who pursues evil will die.

 

Lord God, cause me to be steadfast in righteousness, and live.

 

As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.

 

Proverbs 11: 19

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that You detest whoever has a perverse heart, but You delight in those whose ways are blameless.

 

Lord God, cause my ways to be blameless, and make me Your delight.

 

They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

 

Proverbs 11: 20

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the wicked will not go unpunished, but the descendents of the righteous will be delivered.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and my offspring to be delivered.

 

Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

 

Proverbs 11: 21

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that a beautiful woman who lacks discretion, is like a jewel of gold in a pig's snout.

 

Lord God, cause me to have discretion, and not be like a jewel of gold in a pig's snout.

 

As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

 

Proverbs 11: 22

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the desire of the righteous turns out well, but the the wicked should expect wrath.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and to know all is well.

 

The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.

 

Proverbs 11: 23

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that one can give freely, yet gain even more, and another person can withhold what he should give, and comes to poverty.

 

Lord God, cause me to give freely, and not withhold what should be given.

 

There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.

 

Proverbs 11: 24

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that a generous man will prosper, and whoever waters, will be watered himself.

 

Lord God, cause me to have a generous heart, and to refresh others.

 

The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

 

Proverbs 11: 25

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that people will curse those who withhold grain, but blessings come to those who sell it.

 

Lord God, cause me to not withhold what You have provided for Your people, but bless me as I distribute Your provisions

 

He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.

 

Proverbs 11: 26

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that whoever searches for good, finds favor, but if someone looks for trouble, it will come to him.

 

Lord God, cause me to diligently seek good, and find favor.

 

He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.

 

Proverbs 11: 27

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that whoever trusts in riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and flourish, and to not trust in riches, and fall.

 

He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

 

Proverbs 11: 28

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that whoever troubles his own house will inherit the wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.

 

Lord God, keep me from troubling my own house, only to receive what is empty and worthless. Cause me to be wise, not becoming a servant to others, but only to You.

 

He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.

 

Proverbs 11: 29

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he that wins souls is wise.

 

Lord God, cause me to righteous, bearing fruit of the tree of life, and wise, so that I win souls.

 

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

 

Proverbs 11: 30

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the righteous is repaid on earth, how much more the wicked and the sinner.

 

Lord God, help me consider Your truth, that the righteous are recompensed in the earth, and much more the wicked and the sinner.

 

Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that a good man obtains Your favor, and a man of wicked devices, You will condemn.

 

Lord God, cause me put off all wickedness, and in uprightness of heart, obtain Your favor.

 

A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that no one is established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous is immovable.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and my root of righteousness unable to be moved.

 

A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

 

Proverbs 12: 3

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that a virtuous woman is a crown to her husband, but she who shames him is like rottenness in his bones.

 

Lord God, give my wife a heart for virtue, and take away any desire for her to cause shame.

 

Lord God, cause me to be a virtuous wife, a crown to my husband, and always guarding against causing shame.

 

Lord God, cause me to have a virtuous wife, a crown to me, who guards against causing shame.

 

A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

 

Proverbs 12: 4

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the thoughts of the righteous are just, but the counsels of the wicked are deceitful.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, my thoughts just, and my counsels from being deceitful.

 

The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.

 

Proverbs 12: 5

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the mouth of the upright delivers them.

 

Lord God, cause me to be upright, and my speech a deliverer of life.

 

The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.

 

Proverbs 12: 6

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the wicked are overthrown and perish, but the house of the righteous will stand.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and my house to stand firm.

 

The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.

 

Proverbs 12: 7

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that whoever has wisdom will be commended, but whoever has a perverse heart, will be despised.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and commendable because of my wisdom.

 

A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.

 

Proverbs 12: 8

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that it is better to be lowly, and have a servant, than to honor Yourself and lack bread.

 

Lord God, cause me to not act important and lack bread, but to prefer dishonor, yet have my needs tended to.

 

He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.

 

Proverbs 12: 9

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that a righteous man cares about his animals health, but even the compassionate acts of the wicked are cruel.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and have a righteous concern for animals that are in my care.

 

A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

 

Proverbs 12: 10

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that whoever tills his land will be satisfied with bread, but whoever pursues worthless things, lacks sense.

 

Lord God, cause me to seek after work that is able to provide substance, and not pursue worthless endeavors that will cause me to go hungry.

 

He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.

 

Proverbs 12: 11

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the wicked desire what evil men have, but the root of the righteous yields fruit.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and my root to yield fruit, and to not desire the bounty of evil men.

 

The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.

 

Proverbs 12: 12

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that the wicked are snared by the transgression of their lips, but the righteous man escapes trouble.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and to come out of trouble, leaving the wicked to be snared by the transgression of their lips.

 

The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.

 

Proverbs 12: 13

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that a man will be satisfied with good, by the fruit of his mouth, and the work of a man's hand will reward him.

 

Lord God, cause the fruit of my mouth, to satisfy me with good, and cause me to be rewarded for the work of my hands.

 

A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.

 

Proverbs 12: 14

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who follows the advise of counsel is wise.

 

Lord God, cause me to follow the advise of wise counsel, and to not proceed down foolish paths.

 

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

 

Proverbs 12: 15

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that a fool's displeasure is known at once, but the prudent man overlooks an insult.

 

Lord God, cause me to overlook insults, and to not make my displeasure known at once.

 

A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.

 

Proverbs 12: 16

Lord God, thank You for Your principle, that whoever speaks the truth gives honest testimony and declares righteousness, but a false witness utters deceit.

Lord God, thank You for Your promise, that those who despise the word will be destroyed, but those who fear the commandments will be rewarded.

Lord God, cause me to have a joyful heart.

 

A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the heart of those who have understanding, seek knowledge, but the mouths of fools feed on foolishness.

 

Lord God, cause me to have understanding, and my heart to seek knowledge.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that all the days are afflicted with evil, but he that is of a merry heart has a continual feast.

 

Lord God, keep affliction from me, to make my heart merry, and to continually enjoying Your blessings.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that it is better to have little with the fear of You, than great treasure, and trouble with it.

 

Lord God, cause me to fear You, with whatever wealth, or poverty is for my good.

 

Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith.

 

Proverbs 15: 16

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that it is better to have a dinner of herbs where there is love, than a fattened ox with hatred.

 

Lord God, cause me to be loving to others, and to have loving people around me, and give us whatever substance is for our good.

 

Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.

 

Proverbs 15: 17

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that a wrathful man stirs up strife, but he that is slow to anger quiets contention.

 

Lord God, help me be slow to anger, and not stir up strife.

 

A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.

 

Proverbs 15: 18

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the way of the slothful is like a hedge of thorns, but the path of the righteous is a highway.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, a hard worker, and make my paths easy to travel.

 

The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain.

 

Proverbs 15: 19

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that a wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish man despises his mother.

 

Lord God, cause me to be wise, make my father glad, and to not despise my mother.

 

A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.

 

Proverbs 15: 20

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that foolishness delights a man who lacks judgment, but a man with understanding walks a straight path.

 

Lord God, cause me to not be delighted with foolishness, but cause me to walk uprightly.

 

Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.

 

Proverbs 15: 21

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that without counsel, plans fail, but with many advisers, they succeed.

 

Lord God, cause me to act with proper counsel and advice, and to not act rashly on my own judgment.

 

Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.

 

Proverbs 15: 22

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that a man has joy from giving an apt answer, and a word spoken timely spoken can be delightful.

 

Lord God, cause me to give fitting answers, and to speak words in a timely manner.

 

A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!

 

Proverbs 15: 23

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the path of life leads upwards for the wise, so he might be able to turn away from Sheol, below.

 

Lord God, cause my paths to be righteous and lead upwards, so I may stay away from the grave.

 

The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.

 

Proverbs 15: 24

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You will destroy the house of the proud, but You will establish the border of the widow.

 

Lord God, because I am a widow, establish my border, and keep me from pride.

 

The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.

 

Proverbs 15: 25

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to You, but the words of the pure are pleasant words.

 

Lord God, cause me to be pure, and my words pleasant, and keep my thoughts from being an abomination to You.

 

The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.

 

Proverbs 15: 26

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who are greedy of gain, trouble their own house, but those who hate gifts shall live.

 

Lord God, cause me to not desire to profit dishonestly, and to not be greedy of gain.

 

He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.

 

Proverbs 15: 27

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the heart of the righteous study to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and study to give the right answer, and keep my mouth from speaking evil things.

 

The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.

 

Proverbs 15: 28

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are far from the wicked, but You hear the prayer of the righteous.

 

Lord God, cause me to be righteous, and hear my prayers.

 

The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

 

Proverbs 15: 29

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that bright eyes gladden the heart, and good news brings health to the bones.

 

Lord God, cause my eyes to make hearts rejoice, and give me good news, that will cause good health.

 

The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.

 

Proverbs 15: 30

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who listen to life giving correction, will dwell among the wise.

 

Lord God, cause me to receive, and listen to life giving rebukes, and make my dwelling among the wise.

 

The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise.

 

Proverbs 15: 31

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who refuse instruction, despise their own soul, but those who listens to correction, acquire understanding.

 

Lord God, cause me to accept instruction, and listen to correction, and give me understanding.

 

He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.

 

Proverbs 15: 32

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that the fear of You, is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor, is humility.

 

Lord God, cause me to fear You, be instructed in wisdom, and have humility.

 

The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.
