Lord God, you are my strength. Cause me to sing to You, and make a joyful noise unto You.

 

Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.

 

Psalm 81: 1

Lord God, my God, and my Redeemer, cause me to put my needs before You, and allow You to fill them.

 

I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Lord God, if Your people would listen to You, and walk in Your ways, you would subdue their enemies, and turn Your hand against their adversaries.

 

Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways! I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.

 

Psalm 81: 13-14

Lord God, those who hate You should have submitted to You, and their punishment will last forever.

 

The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.

Lord God, if Your people would listen to You, and walk in Your ways, you would feed them with the finest of the wheat, and with honey out of a rock, You would satisfy them.

 

He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

Lord God, You preside over the great assembly, and you give judgment among the gods.

 

God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

 

Psalm 82: 1

Lord God, how long will You defend the unjust, and show partiality to the wicked?

 

How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

 

Psalm 82: 2

Lord God, give me opportunity and provision to defend the poor and fatherless, and do justice to the afflicted and needy. As You provide means to do Your work, guide me to distribute these assets wisely. Direct me to not take of Your special provisions, or use them for my pleasures.

Lord God, do not keep silent.

Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that when You keep silent, your people's enemies cause turmoil for them.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that when You keep silent, those who hate You lift their heads against Your people.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that when You hold Your peace, your people's enemies cause turmoil for them.

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.  For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.

As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that when You cause Your people's enemies to be confounded, and troubled forever, men will know that You, and Your name alone is JEHOVAH..

Lord God, Your dwelling place is lovely, O Lord Almighty!

 

How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!

 

Psalm 84: 1

Lord God, I yearn and faint for Your courts. My heart and flesh cry out for You.

 

My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

 

Psalm 84: 2

Lord God, those who dwell in Your house are blessed. They are forever praising You.

 

Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.

 

Psalm 84: 4

Lord God, the man is blessed whose strength is in You, whose heart seeks the road to Zion.

 

Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.

 

Psalm 84: 5

 

Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

Lord God, a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.  I would rather be a doorkeeper in Your house, than to dwell in the tents of the wicked.

 

For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are a sun and shield, and you give grace and glory. You will not withhold anything that is good from those who walk uprightly.

 

For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Lord God, thank you for Your truth, that the man who trusts in You is blessed.

 

O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

Lord God, turn us, and cause Your anger against us to cease.

 

Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.

 

Psalm 85: 4

Lord God, do not be angry with us forever, or draw out Your anger to all generations.

 

Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

 

Psalm 85: 5

Lord God, revive me again, so I may rejoice in You.

 

Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.

Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

Lord God, after turning me to destruction, ask me to Return to You.

 

Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

Lord God, a thousand Years to Your sight, is but a yesterday when it is past, or like a watch in the night.

 

For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

Lord God, Your anger can be consuming, and Your wrath can be troubling.

 

For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.

Lord God, my iniquities are seen by You, and my secret sins are not hidden from Your sight.

 

Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.

Lord God, teach me that my days are few, so I may apply my heart to wisdom.

 

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
