Lord God, thank You for giving Your word to Micah the Morasthite, concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

 

The word of the LORD that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

 

Micah 1: 1

 

Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

 

Micah 1: 2

 

For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who devise iniquity can expect to have woes.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who think of evil while they lay on their beds, can expect to have woes.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that those who devise iniquity, and think of evil while they lay on their beds, practice these things, because it is in the power of their hands to do it.

 

Lord God, keep me from coming up with evil plans while I am resting.

 

Lord God, keep me from devising, or practicing iniquity.

 

Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.

 

Micah 2: 1

 

O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

 

Micah 2: 7

 

The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that it is for the heads of Jacob, and the princes of the house of Israel to know judgment.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your instruction, for Jacob, and the princes of the house of Israel to listen, and to answer the question, Is it not for you to know justice?

 

And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?

 

Micah 3: 1

 

And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment? Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones; Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that in the last days, it will come to pass that the mountain of Your house shall be established in the top of the mountains.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that in the last days, it will come to pass that the mountain of Your house will be exalted above the hills.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that in the last days, it will come to pass that people will flow to the mountain of Your house.

 

But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.

 

Micah 4: 1

 

And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

 

Micah 4: 2

 

And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

 

Micah 4: 3

 

But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.  For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.

 

Micah 4: 4-5

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that Bethlehem was small among the clans of Judah.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that out of Bethlehem was to come forth to You him that is to be ruler of Israel.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that he that was to come from Bethlehem, to be ruler in Israel, had origins of old, and was from ancient times.

 

Lord God, thank You for describing to us Your Son, Jesus Christ.

 

But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

 

Micah 5: 2

 

And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.  And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

 

Micah 5: 4-5

 

And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds:  And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:

 

Micah 5: 11-12

 

And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.

 

Micah 5: 15

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You have shown us You required of us.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You require us to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You.

 

Lord God, thank You for showing me what is good.

 

Lord God, cause me to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You.

 

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

 

Micah 6: 8

Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.

 

Micah 7:1

 

The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net. That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.

 

Micah 7: 2-3

 

For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.

 

Micah 7: 6

 

Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

 

Micah 7: 7

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are able to keep our enemies from rejoicing when we have troubles.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are able to You are able to cause us to rise, when we have fallen.

 

Lord God, thank You for Your truth, that You are able to be a light unto us, even when we are sitting in darkness.

 

Lord God, keep my enemies from rejoicing against me when I have troubles.

 

Lord God, when I fall, cause me to rise.

 

Lord God, when I sit in darkness, be a light to me.

 

Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.

 

Micah 7: 8

 

I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

 

Micah 7: 9

 

According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things.

 

Micah 7: 15

 

They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee.

 

Micah 7: 17

 

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

 

Micah 7: 18-19

 

Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.
